At innergy Group we take our social responsibilities seriously. We encourage and support all members of staff to regularly become involved in local communities. One of our favourite projects is providing assistance at local school “Interview Days”, to help YR1O pupils become “Work Ready”.
Three of our Managers – Kiren Thandi, Marketing Manager, Luke Mehta, Business Development Manager and Liam Hill, Depot Manager – worked with pupils and teachers at Mount St Mary’s High School in Leeds to create role-play job interviews which help build confidence and awareness in young people who are about to embark on the search for employment.
Joe Coluccio, who organises the event at Mount St Mary’s said: “Just wanted to thank you and your staff, for all of your efforts and continued support for Mount St Mary’s High School. It was an outstanding day and the pupils gained a great deal from it. It was a fantastic day but without your support, it could not have happened. Sorry for working them so hard!”
Mark Cooper, Headmaster at the school added: “A quick note to say a huge thank you for giving up your time to interview our Year 10 students today. I hope the positive benefit was not one way and that you enjoyed your time interacting with our youngsters. I am repeatedly impressed with their commitment to engage in opportunities and get the most from them and today was another such occasion. We place a great deal of focus and importance upon ensuring every student is ‘work ready’ not a measurement for Ofsted, but a vital tool they must have to make a positive impact upon their own lives and those of others. Not only do they gain from your time, experience and challenge but they talk of it for sometime to come and it will ensure they are well prepared for their next formal interview. Thank you again for working with us, I as headteacher and we as a school community are extremely grateful.”
