Congratulations to everyone who received an increase in their hourly rate today thanks to the improvement in the minimum wage. The new minimum wage is £7.20 for people over the age of 25.
innergy Group, parent company of Calor Gas Centre, are a proud member of the Living Wage Foundation. This means we are committed to paying no less than £8.25 per hour, to all employees.
We hope that if our colleagues love working here they will love assisting our customers.
The Living Wage affords people the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families. The Living Wage campaign was launched in 2001 by parents in East London, who were frustrated that working two minimum wage jobs left no time for family life.
The causes of poverty are complex and in order to improve lives there should be a package of solutions across policy areas. The Living Wage can be part of the solution. The Living Wage Employer Mark and Service Provider Recognition Scheme provide an ethical badge for responsible pay.
