Having experienced the running of logistics for over 15 years I have organised movements for a wide range of products from a wide range of customers.  I remember being part of the iphone revolution and delivering the 1st edition iphone. I have organised uniform to be collected and cleaned from Coca Cola and arranged for the transportation of the wheel from the popular 90s tv show Wheel of Fortune. The most unusual consignments and I dare say the most “Yorkshire”, were pigeons collected on a next day service and transported in perforated cartons with miniature drinking wells!

My last role before joining innergy was with a fashion brand called Jack Wills and the only real similarities are that both products keep you warm. I now have a new challenge to distribute gas and solid fuels to a varied customer base around the Yorkshire and Humberside area. In my first week I had the pleasure of venturing out with a driver and the delivery points consisted of a brewery, a sandwich van, a large steel works and a trendy eatery in the centre of Leeds. Customer delight is our key philosophy and I hope that my experience will improve our already exceptional service levels.

All my previous roles were exciting in different ways, but they were very corporate and for most of the time I felt like a cog in a big wheel. At innergy I am very excited for the future as every day I feel like the company is growing. The clear ambitious growth plan was laid out in front of me from day one and I look forward to adding my expertise to the rapidly expanding operation of the innergy group.
