The Leeds RAG Bike to Berlin is an annual endurance challenge taking our team of 40 cyclists 600 miles from the University of Leeds Parkinson building to the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin. Setting off from Leeds on 16th June 2018, day 1 took them to Hull, where they travelled on an overnight ferry to Rotterdam. The following 7 days saw them cycle through the Netherlands and Northern Germany to arrive in Berlin on day 8 in good time for a well-deserved celebration!

This year the team cycled in aid of Cycling out of Poverty (CooP)-Uganda (web link below). The charity does amazing work supplying bikes to entrepreneurs, students and health workers in Uganda, making an enormous difference to their businesses and way of life.

When Imogen Graham, RAG Coordinator, approached us to supply gas to support the teams catering requirements during their trips we happily donated 6 x 13kg propane cylinders free of charge.

The challenge raised an incredible £54,734.30. A wonderful achievement by all involved.
