My life at innergy started when innergy made their second acquisition, SK Gas in Dewsbury. I started out life at SK Gas a self employed delivery driver and quickly went on to running the depot in the owners absence. Innergy acquired SK Gas in April 2011 where I worked under the supervision of Mick Rowley (innergy’s longest serving employee). It was quickly established that I was good enough to continue my role as depot manager at the Dewsbury office and within a few months I was back in the depot hot seat.
As the summer of 2012 approached I found myself selling cars in my spare time and fixing some of them at the Dewsbury depot ( yes a wheeler dealer formed and I developed the hunger for more in life ). Gez the MD turned a blind eye to my wheeler dealer efforts and focused more on my ability, drive and determination to succeed. This led to a job offer of Commercial Manager in November 2012.
November 2012 I had a car, phone and laptop. In my new role I quickly picked up lots of new customers for innergy having great success very quickly. With help from innergy by way of training courses, 1 day seminars and assistance from Gez the MD I quickly learned the art of sales success, the way innergy operate and the importance of customer delight.
From November 2012 to this day I have a vast knowledge of innergy’s sales and operational activities, I have launched welding consumables, BBQ ranges and gas heater ranges into the company with great results. I continue to help innergy’s growth strategy and reach its targets every day. innergy and its team are a pleasure to work with and I look forward to many successful years here.
I am now looking forward to the next chapter at innergy taking on the role of Logistics and Operations Manager.
