innergy Group merges with Castle Energy Group

We are pleased to announce our recent merger with Castle Energy Group. The merger took place officially on 12th September 2016.

Castle Energy began trading in 1986. Now one of the largest independent distributors of solid fuels in the UK, they supply hundreds of customers across the North of England and work with customers such as Costcutter, Euro Garages, Petrogas and Fuel Express. Their growth over the past thirty years has been predominantly internal, stemming from recommendations from their existing client base. The growth and development of their staff has evolved in a similar manner.  Castle Energy decided to seek a merger with innergy Group because they believed that a larger organisation would allow them to provide a wider array of products and services to a wider geographical area.

“Castle Energy have built a wonderful reputation with their customers for exceptional service which reflects our philosophy of Customer Delight” said Gez Walsh, Managing Director of innergy Group. “We see fantastic opportunities to introduce their product range in to our customer base; coal to our network of stockists, catering charcoal to the pubs and restaurants who rely upon us for their drinks dispense gases as examples”.

Neil Mehta, Managing Director of Castle Energy said “It was important to me to be able to entrust Castle Energy and its customers to a company that shares our customer focus and understands the importance of being a considerate employer. innergy also have the expertise, ambitions and resources to further grow the business.” Mehta will remain with the business in an advisory capacity and all members of staff will transfer to innergy on improved terms. Luke Mehta will join as Business Development Manager and all staff will transfer to innergy on improved terms.

innergy Group are now offering Solid fuels including Coal, Charcoal and Wood for domestic, catering and retail customers.
