The cylinder charge applies because the cylinder will remain our property and it is being provided to you only for the purposes of using the gas supplied. When the cylinder is empty, you can simply exchange it for a pre-filled cylinder or return the empty cylinder to us. Cylinder Fees The cost of natural gas, oil and other fuels is increasing daily, therefore the demand and price for LPG has also increased in a very short period of time. The cost of LPG is currently at a record high, with worldwide supplies being constricted. You may have seen widespread media reports regarding the challenges the UK LPG industry continue to face with many customers being left without gas for days and even weeks. Fortunately, innergy has been able to use its scale and leverage to continue to source cylinders which has meant that we have continued to supply our customers. The current situation is extremely volatile, so unfortunately to secure supplies we have no alternative but to purchase available stocks at the current market prices. We need to apply an exceptional surcharge that reflects the ongoing cost movements. This surcharge will be reviewed as changes to the market environment evolve. We are able to absorb some increases and will continue to do so where possible. However we cannot, unfortunately, absorb the entire amount. Therefore, a surcharge is applied per cylinder on all orders placed for LPG gas cylinders. Please note that this surcharge does not apply to beverage gas cylinders or industrial gas cylinders. We understand this is a difficult time for many of our customers. We hope this is a short-term measure and that conditions stabilise. We thank you for your continued loyalty.
